Tuensang, November 13 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland College Students Union (ENCSU) has made an appeal to the Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University to conduct online examination for odd semester 2020.
The Union stated that over the past few months all the educational institutions have been closed with no proper functioning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the COVID is here, ENCSU, President, Serichum Sangtam and General Secretary, Sanglekhamba C Chang appealed the University to conduct the examination in the same manner as it was conducted for the even semester past couple of months. “It is well aware that we have to maintain social distance and for that matter Offline examination is not advisable,” it stated.
It also maintained that as the students are in different locations, and there is no proper transportation, the students travelling to different districts just to appear the exam is not convenient and inappropriate.
“More so, if the online exam is conducted, it will solve number of problems of the institutions as well as the students,” it added.
Taking all these grievances, the ENCSU has appealed to the University to take things into consideration and re-examine about the offline exam.
