ENPUD condemns alleged assault of minors

Dimapur, November 25 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland People’s Union Dimapur (ENPUD) has expressed strong resentment in support of Konyak Union Dimapur condemnation letter on the alleged assault by the social activist Ronica and Amos Ezung on the pain inflicted on the Konyak minors.

While appreciating the timely intervention of the concern authority for arresting the culprits, ENPUD, President, Shahoto Yimkhiung and General Secretary, Yato Konyak stated that ‘witnessing such heinous crime against children is beyond human comprehension and there is no such place for civilized society and must be condemned by every right thinking citizen.’

In a letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, the union appealed the law enforcing agency to take stern disciplinary action against the perpetrators as per the law, “because their cruelty have caused inexpressible pain and exposed inhuman behaviour which cannot be erased in the minds of the minors.”

ENPUD also demanded that the culprits be booked under non-billable section of the law and ‘should not be bail out by anyone by any means necessary.’
