Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): Nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit and fostering skill development took center stage at the recent Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Program hosted by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Kohima at its extension Centre at Dimapur. A total of 173 participants attended the programme.

The programme explored into multifaceted aspects crucial for entrepreneurial success, ranging from digital transformation in traditional sectors like handloom and handicraft to cutting-edge topics such as intellectual property rights (IPR) protection. Participants were exposed to innovative approaches in design and production, emphasizing the importance of skills development and fostering a culture of innovation, stated a press release received here. 

A session on brand building and marketing strategies leveraging generative AI, showcasing the intersection of technology and entrepreneurship in today's dynamic market landscape was also conducted. 

Nengneithem Hengna, founder of Runway India spoke on ‘Entrepreneurship in Nagaland: Opportunities and Challenges.’ Her insights shed light on the unique opportunities available in Nagaland's entrepreneurial landscape while addressing the various challenges that aspiring entrepreneurs may encounter.

Reflecting on the programme, Daniel Meren, Scientist ‘E’ said, “It’s truly inspiring to see the enthusiasm and dedication of the participants towards building a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nagaland.”
