Observing that Nagaland state is heavily dependent on the funding of the central government, Khrietuo Yhome, CEO of Rhaeven Capital on Monday stated concern for the state’s economy that is largely driven by the government salaries rather than a productive economy.
Speaking at the Exclusive MSME Outreach Programme at Hotel Vivor Kohima on July 13, he also impressed upon that this economic model has further led to unemployment, corruption, nepotism, and a culture of dependence while underscoring that, “such an economy is neither sustainable nor desirable in the long run.”
Asserting that the answer is entrepreneurship, he highlighted that entrepreneruship is not merely starting a business but is about solving problems, generating wealth and creating employment for others.

Urging the gathering to look beyond the security of government employment, and explore the opportunities that entrepreneurship has to offer, he underlined that, “we must aspire to become employers rather than employees, producers rather than consumers, innovators rather than job seekers.”
“If we genuinely aspire to build a resilient, self-reliant and a prosperous Nagaland, entrepreneurship is not an option, but it is the way forward. Let us move from a culture of dependence to a culture of enterprise”, he stated.
