DIMAPUR, MAY 20 (MExN): The Eastern Sumi Hoho (ESH) has appealed to the State Government to refrain from transfer of district administrators, doctors and nurses given the massive surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the State.
A press release from the ESH said that even if transfer is unavoidable, then replacements have to be posted at the shortest period during this emergency situation for those who are working tirelessly as a frontline warriors.
It further urged the State Government to recruit employees to those posts lying vacant with the retirement of many staffs under the Medical Department so that the concerned department does not face shortage of staff during this pandemic.
The ESH meanwhile appealed to the public to “act as a responsible people during this extraordinary situation.” “The present pandemic situation can be contained effectively only when we extend one’s best cooperation to the frontline warriors by strictly observing the SOPs and remaining vigilant,” it stated.
