Five persons were arrested by the Dimapur police for extortion in Dimapur. According to the Dimapur police, they were arrested from 3 separate locations on the night of June 29. “They were arrested for making monetary demands in the name of the NSCN (K-Yung Aung) from businesses in Dimapur,” a police official said. They were identified as Akybo Swu, Nawaz Khan, Akai Chishi, Kikato chophy and Kitoka Achumi and a case registered against them at East Police Station. A toy pistol and two mobile phones were also confiscated from their possession, the police informed.
