Mokokchung, May 11 (MExN): The Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung bade farewell to the Class of 2023 by organising a parting social on 10 May at the college auditorium under the theme “Novum Horizontem (New Horizon).”
Speaking on behalf of the lecturers, Dr Imcharenla, HoD, Department of Economics, commended the graduating class on reaching an important life milestone and said that it serves as a reminder of the difficulties encountered and conquered during the COVID-19 times.
Recalling that the students had demonstrated the power of perseverance amidst the pandemic, she encouraged them to be equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fieldsas they enter a new horizon. She also encouraged them to become responsible citizen and strive to make positive difference in the lives of those around them. Tushikaba, General Secretary, FAC Students’ Union spoke on behalf of the students while Imkongwapang Longkumer, BA 6th Semester and Kushe Shiu, BSc 6th semester gave speeches on behalf of the outgoing students
A special prayer was also pronounced for the outgoing students by Rev Lima Lemdur, Pastor, Union Church, FAC.
A press release from the college informed that the farewell programme witnessed speeches and performances from both the senior and the junior students.
