Mokokchung, December 16 (MExN): The annual Fazl Ali College Student's Union election for 2020 was conducted by Fazl Ali College in online mode on December 16.
According to updates from the union, in the first stage of the online poll, students voted for their class representatives and in the second stage, the elected class representatives voted for the members of the Executive Council of the Union. All votes in both the stages were cast through their college-issued email accounts, it stated.
The candidates also conducted their election campaign in online mode using WhatsApp and the cloud-based ERP solution provided by electionrunner.com was used to register the votes with secrecy of voting being maintained.
Some of the class representatives were elected unopposed and overall, 73% polling was recorded, it said.
The elected members of the executive council are General Secretary Tzulensa Jamir; Asst General Secretary Nungsangtuba; Games & Sports Secretary Imnasunep Kichu; Asst Games & Sports Secretary Akumienla Longkumer; Social Service Secretary Limanochet Imsong; Asst Social Service Secretary Tekhingmong Sangtam; Fine Arts & Literary Secretary Supongmeren Jamir; Asst Fine arts & Literary Secretary E Esther Konyak; Asst Magazine Secretary Temjenwapang; Boys Welfare Secretary Meyayongdang and Girls Welfare Secretary Nungshilila.
