Guwahati, APRIL 14 (MExN): Fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people of Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal, Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to extend the services of train no. 13413/13414 (Malda Town – Bathinda–Malda Town) & train no. 13483/13484 (Malda Town – Bathinda – Malda Town) Farakka Express from Malda Town to Balurghat. The extension of these trains will be effective from April 15.
In a press release, CPRO, NFR Sabyasache De informed that train no. 13413 (Balurghat - Bathinda) Farakka Express will depart from Balurghat at 17: 00 hours from April 15 every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Similarly, train no. 13414 (Bathinda - Balurghat) Farakka Express departing from Bathinda on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from April 15 will arrive Balurghat at 09:15 hours on every Wednesday, Friday, Monday respectively.
Train no. 13483 (Balurghat - Bathinda) Farakka Express will depart from Balurghat at 17:00 hours from April 16 on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Similarly, train no. 13484 (Bathinda - Balurghat) Farakka Express departing from Bathinda on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from April 16 will arrive Balurghat at 09:15 hours on every Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday respectively.
For the convenience of the passengers, both these trains will operate with seven AC 3-tier, two AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier Economy, six sleeper class and three general seating coaches. During its operation between Malda Town and Balurghat and vice versa, these trains will have stoppages at Buniadpur & Eklakhi. Common people from vast areas of Dakshin Dinajpur and Malda districts will get immensely benefitted with the commencement of journey of these trains from Balurghat, the press release informed.
