Mon, October 15 (MExN): To recognize the contribution of women farmers in agriculture, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mon organized Mahila Kisan Diwas at KVK Office, Aboi on October 15 with the participation of 24 farm women from various Self Help Groups under Aboi sub-division.
KVK Mon office in a press release stated that the programme was chaired by ACTO (Ani.Sc) Dr Paihem Michui and briefed about the multidimensional role of women in agriculture. The importance and advantages of kitchen gardening and upliftment of rural women through adoption of organic farming was stressed upon by SMS (Soil Conservation) Imtinuksung.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks pronounced by S Monyu, Office Accountant cum Superintendent.
