Longleng, March 27 (MExN): The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Longleng assisted by NSRLM, Longleng organized a multidisciplinary Farmer-Scientist Interaction cum training programme at Auching Village, Sakshi block under Longleng district on March 24.
During the programme, training on cultivation practices of summer vegetables, insect, pest and disease management in horticultural crops with bio-control insecticides was imparted by A Namei, KVK Longleng. Importance of nutrition garden was shared by Liang, AC-livelihood, Sakshi block, NSRLM.
Dr Lily Ngullie, Animal Science, ACTO, KVK Longleng deliberated on different feeding and disease management practices in pig and poultry birds. During the programme, organic insecticides, summer seeds, mineral and vitamins bolus and dewormers were distributed. Altogether 46 farmers and church leaders attended the training programme which concluded with vote of thanks by Head GB, Auching village.
