Tuensang, January 31 (MExN): ATMA Tuensang, Tsaru block conducted demonstrations in Old Chungliyimti village on January 28.
ATMA Tuensang in a press release stated that resource person Agriculture officer Longkhim, Trithiba Sangtam gave hands on demonstration on deworming in pigs and emphasized on nutrition and improving on backyard pig production. Assistant Technology Manager, Khatemenla highlighted the importance of neem products and its potential in organic agriculture.
One month old seedlings of BokChoy were distributed to all the farmers and transplantation was done in their respective fields following the recommended spacing.
A demonstration on control of pest and disease management of mustard and garden pea was conducted by Assistant Technology Manager Tiyongnaro. The farmers were also provided with yellow sticky traps which were then installed in their respective fields. A total of 14 farmers attended the programme along with the block convener and ATMA functionaries.
