Dimapur, March 10 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Medziphema and Dhansiripar block under Dimapur district organized a farmers exposure visit on March 5 at ‘Pristine Foods’, an enterprise managed by Food Technologist Er Puteu Phesao, located at Chümoukedima, Dimapur.
In a press release, ATMA Dimapur informed that the main objective was to sensitize and train the farmers and SHG’s on value addition and packaging of agricultural produce.
Altogether, 24 farmers attended the training programme. During the visit, the farmers were trained on utilization and processing of locally produced fruits and vegetables such as ginger, gooseberry, star fruit, wild apple, jamun, pomelo etc. They were also taught how to process them into candy, dried products and squash. The team later visited a piggery breeding unit.
