Fazl Ali & Mount Tiyi Colleges running without a Principal for months: ANCSU

Kohima, November 16 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) on Tuesday highlighted that the Fazl Ali College and Mount Tiyi College are running without a Principal for months.

In a representation to the Commissioner Secretary, Higher & Technical Education Nagaland, the Union stated that this “directly invites chaos in the institution,” and appealed the department to immediately appoint principals in these two colleges.

Further, noting the shortage of lecturers in institutions across the State, the ANCSU stated that many government colleges in the state are functioning perilously without lectures in all departments.

In this regard, the Union appealed for appointment of Assistant Professors and Associate Professors “strictly adhering by the UGC guidelines with requisite qualification in those institutions at the earliest.”

“The ANCSU impress upon your good wisdom to kindly look into the aforementioned representation and initiate it on priority,” Toito D Chishi, President, ANCSU and Tenyesinlo Bukh, General Secretary of the ANCSU wrote in the Union’s representation on Tuesday.
