NPP extends Ahuna, Diwali and Children’s Day greetings
Dimapur, November 11 (MExN): Festivals and celebrations are some of the core aspects of any culture and woven tightly into overall cultural identity, said the National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland State today extending its festive greetings.
It is indeed an auspicious coincidence that this year that Children’s Day, the post-harvest Ahuna Festival of the Sumi Nagas and the festival of light, Diwali on being celebrated on the same day Novembers 14, noted the party in a press release.
Wishing all the children, the Sumi Tribe and the Hindu brothers & sisters on the occasions, the NPP Nagaland expressed hope that the festive season would help in fostering old ties of brotherhood and fraternity and eliminate all kinds of negative energies.
“The NPP Nagaland seeks God Almighty’s blessings upon each one of us so that we can renew our goodness and brotherhood and forgive each other while also cleanse our hearts and souls from all misdemeanors that keep us away from each other,” it added.
Let this festive season mark the opening of a new chapter of peace, prosperity and reconciliation among all communities and tribes so that we can remain united in our efforts to revive our age old traditions of hospitality, courage and honesty despite all the odds, it added.
