Dimapur, October 11 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland and Naga National Council have mourned the demise of Rtd Colonel I Teka Soyah of Lungkhum village under Mokokchung district.
In a condolence message on Sunday, the FGN and NNC remembered late Soyah as one of the “most prominent and renowned national worker with a high spirit of nationalism for Naga national rights and integrity.”
“His patriotism, courage and grit remains matchless and, his love and affection for the truth about his people, their history to be heard and known by many, stands as a legacy to be carried on by those who continue his journey,” it said.
Late Soyah served the Federal Government of Nagaland as a Colonel in the Naga Army with dedication and commitment and in his later years of life, he served the Naga National Council as Vice President Naga National Council, it said.
The FGN and NNC conveyed condolences to the bereaved family while stating that his “countless good deeds for our Naga people shall live forever and ever.”
