DIMAPUR, MAY 2 (MExN): An FIR has been filed against the proprietor of M/S Sangci Indane, Gramin Vitrak, an IOC ltd appointed LPG distributor at Medziphema Police Station for allegedly “illegally and criminally operating LPG business at Medziphema area without valid mandatory permit.”
The FIR was filed by Selie Seyie, VDB Secretary, Medziphema Town; Kedokhoto Seyie, General Secretary, Ward No 8, Medziphema Town; and Ngukato Swu Sema, a businessman from Medziphema Town against one Alavizo Rürhie, the proprietor of the LPG distributor.
The FIR dated April 30, which was made available to the media on May 2, informed that the LPG distributor in question has a licensed godown and showroom located at Poilwa village, Peren. Stating that Poilwa village is 94 kms away from Medziphema Town, the FIR alleged that the distributor is engaged in “illegal operation of LPG business without permit in gross violation of the Explosives Act endangering the life of the public and cheating the community at large.”
The FIR claimed that the concerned distributor is operating LPG business at Meziphema “in a big way deceptively bluffing the public with the NOC issued by the ADC, Medziphema.” It however stated that the NOC “is an expressed willingness from the administration as there is public demand, but not an LPG extended delivery centre mandatory permit.” It rather gives the opportunity to apply for the permit on the strength of the NOC, it stated.
Claiming that this has not been done, the FIR asked the Police to take “prompt proper action for the interest of the public.”
