Fire personnel inspecting the damage after the fire which broke out at a workshop in 4th Mile, Dimapur, on November 17, was doused.
Dimapur, November 17 (MExN): A fire broke out at a workshop in 4th Mile, Dimapur, damaging a vehicle (Maruti-800) and destroying property worth approximately Rs 2 lakh.
A press release from the RO (E), Fire and Emergency Services, Kenny Khing, informed that the incident happened at around 1:00 pm on Tuesday.
“Fire and Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station Chümoukedima and Fire Station Dimapur (Central) to control the fire. Three Fire Tenders along with sufficient equipments and fire personnel were pressed into action,” the release stated. The response team was led by Duty Commander, SI Kenyuyhun Kent and SI C Baushong Phom, it added.
According to the release, the fire was caused due to leakage of oil while work was on progress at the workshop. No casualties were reported.
