Fire fighters engaged in dousing off the fire which occurred in Jahjan Ward, Mon Town on October 10. On receiving report of the incident, Fire & Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station, Mon. Two fire tenders with equipments and fire personnel were pressed into action to control the fire. There was no casualty; however, one kutcha house and property worth Rs 10 lakh approximately were lost in the inferno which was caused by electrical short circuit. The response team was led by Duty Commander, ASI, Dennis Singson.
