Fire personnel engaged in dousing off the fire at Tenyiphe-I, B-Khel, 6th Mile, Dimapur on January 19. An update from the Fire and Emergency Services, Nagaland informed that one katcha house was gutted while property worth Rs 1.5 lakh approximately was lost in the inferno. There was no casualty. Electrical short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire. The Fire & Emergency Services team from Fire Station, Chümoukedima with two fire tenders was led by Duty Commander SI Kenyuyhun Kent.
