KOHIMA, AUGUST 3 (MExN): The Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch, conducted a First Aid training programme for substation staff at the 400/220kV New Kohima GIS Substation, Zhadima village, Kohima on July 31.

A total of 31 participants took part in the day-long session, which was led by Kholie Dolf, a certified Master Trainer. The training focused on equipping the staff with life-saving skills critical to their work in the power sector.

Topics covered during the session included first aid for electrocution and electrical burn injuries, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of automated external defibrillator (AED), first aid for snake bites, choking relief techniques, and wound management.

The programme is part of the Indian Red Cross Society’s continued efforts to enhance workplace safety and emergency preparedness, especially in high-risk sectors like power and energy.  The training was organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch.
