The First Kids Christmas Carnival, organised by “The Gingerbread Squad,” officially began at Tiyi Hall in Wokha Town on December 18. The inaugural event was attended by Nzano P Kikon, the Deputy Chairperson of Wokha Town Council, who expressed her appreciation for the unique initiative.
In her remarks, Kikon praised the organizers for introducing a carnival specifically designed for children, highlighting that such events in the district have traditionally been geared towards adults. She welcomed the new approach, noting that the event offers a great opportunity for children to enjoy the holiday season with their families. Kikon also wished the organizers a successful event and a prosperous future for their business.
The opening ceremony included a prayer led by Lijano Ezung, Associate CNY Director of Wokha Town Baptist Church. The Kids Carnival will continue through December 24, with activities available daily from 12 PM to 6 PM.
