About winning projects
A project on “Highway Security Solution” by Team May bagged the first position and carried a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
Represented by Rongbang Meren, Longtsusang, Yangerlong Jamir and Imchanola, its project stated that “Highway Security Solution” will be a packaged service where users can alert or send emergency distress signals to police personal in real-time so they can supervise and respond immediately.
Basically, this RTA (Real-Time Application) hits the mark both ways for the public as well as law enforcements allowing a seamless connection by drastically reducing the complexity of raising a complaint and response time at the same time making it much easier for police personals to track the signals using images and GPS navigation all integrated in the service, the project stated.
The objective of this solution is to create an application for public where they can send instant emergency/distress alerts on various accidents or criminal activities they might come across, to set up a Control Room (Server) where all the signals are stored and dispatched to the nearest patrol/outpost seamlessly using GPS coordinates, to provide round-the-clock security services for the public using only their mobile phones and to build better relationships in society.
