Five houses sealed in Ahthibung town

Peren, August 18 (MExN): Five houses in Ahthibung town have been sealed on August 18 following the detection of COVID-19 positive cases. 

Peren Deputy Commissioner Sentiwapang Aier issued the order for immediate sealing four houses in C Block and one house in B Block, Ahthibung town and directed the medical department to immediately commence contact tracing and other medical protocols as per the laid down standard operating procedures.

The order also stated that the sealed areas would be cordoned off and advised all persons within the sealed area to follow all safety precautions like wearing masks, washing hands frequently and maintaining physical distance.

Any person found violating this order will be liable to be prosecuted as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, the DC cautioned.

Sealed areas in Jalukie lifted
Meanwhile, the Jalukie Additional Deputy Commissioner has lifted the August 14 notification which ordered the temporary sealing of two houses in High School colony (Ward no 3) of Jalukie town. The development took place after RT-PCR confirmatory results for suspected COVID-19 cases returned negative, according to a DIPR report.
