Every crisis has extracted best from every society, every time, hopefully it will be the same this time in this crisis of COVID 19. Like most of the Institutions, educational institutions have been hit really hard. A few board exams too had to be postponed indefinitely. However, everything is not lost as long as we make proper use of technology including information technology. So learning has to go on.

Flipped Classroom is an instructional strategy to engage learner in active learning via a technology. This pedagogical approach of learning was developed in 1993by Alison King and became popular in early 2000. With changing challenges and booming information technology this is just the need of the hour as far learning is concerned. Teaching learning never been as fun as these days with Flipped Classroom.

The benefit of the Flipped Classroom as many including:

1. Students Centric.
2. Better Coordination Between All Stake Holders.
3. Highly Flexable.
4. Acivity Based.
5. Easy To Administer.
6. It Is Free.

Well, how can we go about it? The answer is blowing in the wind, with due respect to Bob. There are several ways to conduct a Flipped Classroom, however, I would prefer to use KHAN ACADEMY, thanks to Salman Khan of MIT and hats off lion hearted philanthropist Mr. Bill Gates. All we need to do as an educator is to follow the clicks.

1. Get the soft copy of the list of students list.
2. Login to Khan Academy in Teacher’s portal.
3. Create your teacher account using Gmail/Facebook id.
4. Create Students Roosters.
5. Go to Assignment.
6. Assign the task.
7. Set a deadline for the students to do the task.
8. Whatsapp/ sms the username and password of students created while generating student’s roster.
9. We generate roosters all grades and of all section single handedly.
10. At the end of the deadline, you will get a system generated report, basing on which you re assign or recommend a new task.

It is pretty easy!

However, like any other methodology, this too suffers from some drawbacks, like too much exposure to internet or reliability of the task done by the concerned students. Fortunately, we can deal with these drawbacks by involving parents or guardian at home and quantizing the assignments for appropriate duration for the concerned learner.
Calling on all teachers and Principal to try it out to cope with covid 19 and yet the show of learning goes on!.
