Dimapur, October 4 (MExN): The Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) organised a memorial service at Shalom Bible Seminary, Sechü-Zubza, in honour of its leader, late Niketu Iralu, celebrating his contributions to truth, peace and unity. The gathering brought together elders, friends and family members to pay tribute to Iralu’s commitment to reconciliation and his influence on Naga society and beyond.

His wife, Christine Iralu, and nephew, Rev Dr Sanyu Iralu, spoke about his humility, courage and moral clarity. Their tributes recalled his enduring commitment to reconciliation and the impact of his work on countless lives. “Uncle Niketu Iralu’s legacy calls us to continue the journey he began,” the statement quoted as a reminder of his enduring vision.

The programme concluded with a candlelight prayer led by Pari Sanyu, symbolising hope and reconciliation. The FNR reaffirmed its commitment to dialogue, healing and shared responsibility for the future, stating that his life remained a guiding beacon and that “reconciliation is a sacred calling.”
