FNR pays tribute to  Rev L Mankup Konyak

Dimapur, April 10 (MExN): The Forum for Reconciliation (FNR) on Saturday expressed heartfelt solidarity with the family members and the community at the passing of Rev L Mankup Konyak.

“Rev Mankup’s life was an epic written by God himself.  He spoke often of the Naga family and the years long ago when the Nagas were far different from what is today. His unvarying support of the historical and political rights of the Naga cause, his record as a champion of forgiveness and reconciliation has been an inspiration to the FNR. He supported, encouraged and prayed for FNR and the Naga people,” the Forum stated in its tribute.

The FNR remembered late Rev Mankup as a ‘lofty Naga—a liberated, redeemed, and emancipated person’ who never gave up, in his confidence, on what Nagas could become.

The Forum thanked late Rev Mankup and expressed confidence that he has received the divine promise as stated in the Bible (John 11: 25-26).
