Dimapur, April 1 (MExN): The All Nagaland Taxi Association Dimapur unit on Thursday informed all taxi drivers as well as passengers to strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the government with regard to wearing masks and mandatory use of hand sanitizers.
The Association informed that it will conduct surprise checking from time to time to ensure the safety as well as unwanted materials such as drugs, alcohol, yearly registration of the taxi ID card of drivers, line slip, over speeding etc. Defaulters will be penalized accordingly, it cautioned.
In this regard, the ANTA Dimapur unit requested taxi owners, drivers and passengers to pay heed to the directive for their own safety and for the safety of others.
It also informed that in the days to come, the Association will set up centralization of taxi counter to ease traffic congestion as well as for the convenience of commuters.
