Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) on Saturday urged the State Government to expedite the tendering process and issue work orders for the Foothill Road at the earliest, stating that the working season has already arrived.
According to NFHRCC Convenor Supu Jamir and General Secretary W Lemba Chang who issued a press release following a meeting on November 13, the Committee also resolved to have a consultative sitting with the concerned Department at the earliest possible time to avoid any confusion and to expedite the project.
“In order to materialize the workmanship and the quality of the pliable road there shall be a tripartite agreement among the Department, the NFHRCC and the contractors,” the release stated. Further, it was also resolved that no payments of bills would be made to any contractors without spot verification by the NFHRCC and the department and subsequent issue of completion certificate. This, it said, would help maintain transparency.
