For whom did Jesus Come?

It is another season for the world to celebrate the birth day of the Lord Jesus Christ. May God heal and bless you wherever you are as we welcome the Prince of Peace.

Peace on Earth from God!

Not to Abolish the Laws

The Lord Jesus told us that he did not come to abolish the Law (Matthew 5:17).  But laws are fulfilled in the grace of God for whoever received Him (Romans 10:4).  A believer will not escape the laws but he or she will do right things far more than what law requires as there is no legal boundary in the Grace of God. The Lord Jesus did not come to call the righteous but the sinners (Matthew 9:13).  The lowly, humble and those who needed Jesus found Him but the proud and self-righteous missed Him.  Jesus did not come to compromise the truth with false belief and relativistic doctrines (Matthew 10:34).  People who uphold the truth are faced with opposition.  Like a cutting edged sword, truth and false or light and darkness cannot go together.

Not to Judge the World

The Lord Jesus came not for the healthy but for the sick (Mark 2:17).  His ministry in the Gospels proved this.  People who needed healing and restoration came to Jesus and He solved their needs.  What Jesus did was a symbol of both physical and spiritual solution and rehabilitation.  The sinners and needy found Him and returned with joy and in peace.  He came not to judge the world but to save the world (John 12:47).  But like a mirror, people who come to Jesus see themselves in Jesus and correct themselves.

Not to Attack Religions

The Lord Jesus did not come to attack any religion.  He neither came to found any religious order.  He came to restore the lost relationship with God, the Creator.  He showed the world the way to eternal life.  He taught the world to live together peaceably and in harmony (Isaiah 11:6-9; John 13:34; Romans 12:16).  He taught us to be good to each other like light and salt (Matthew 5:13-16).  He demonstrated excellent social service (Luke 10:37).  He desired compassion and not a sacrifice (Matthew 9:13). In Him we see divinity of God and humanity of man.

People He Came for

The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as ransom for many.  He came to seek and save the lost (Mark 10:45; Luke 19:10).  The lost people can now find life in Him.  The hunger and thirst can find Him now.  The world has every reason to seek and find Him, and love Him.  The world today with nations needs healing and not condemnation.  There is a source of healing and that is the Prince of Peace.  He came not to judge you but to heal, serve, give, seek, save and change which are the needs in this Christmas season.   And practicing His examples can bring a real New Year.

He came that we may find Him.  God bless you!
