SEFTI Dimapur holds convocation programme for 40th batch of Forest Guards
Dimapur, January 30 (MExN): The State Environment and Forestry Training Institute (SEFTI), Dimapur conducted convocation programme for the 40th batch of Forest Guards on January 30.
A press release from Obed Bohovi Swu, Deputy Director, SEFTI stated that a total of 25 Forest Guards from various Forest Divisions across the State completed the compulsory induction training from SEFTI, Dimapur during the convocation ceremony with Ved Pal Singh, IFS, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Chief Wildlife Warden, Nagaland as the chief guest in the presence of senior officers of the department.
The chief guest encouraged the passing out trainees to strive for technical competence adding that with the ongoing JICA project being implemented by the department the importance of technical competence assume much more importance. He highlighted on the importance of right intervention in the day today activities and programmes of the department. He also reminded the trainees keep updated with technical knowledge.
SEFTI Dimapur, Director Shakiba Yimchunger, IFS during the presentation of the annual report reminded the trainees to look forward to a better future and a healthier world as they pass out as trained foresters. He also encouraged them to take every opportunity to maintain the image of the Institute and the department in their respective places of posting.
