Noksen, November 25 (MExN): MLA, Lima Onen distributed free assistive devices-wheel chair, crutches, hearing aids etc to PoWs and senior citizens of Noksen sub-division of Tuensang District at the office premises of SDO (C), Noksen on November 25.
The Department of Social Welfare and Chief Medical Officer, Tuensang in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) initiated the distribution of the equipments with MLA, Lima Onen as a special guest of the session, stated a DIPR report.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA appreciates the department of Health & Family Welfare Department and the Social Welfare Department headed by the CMO and DWO, Tuensang for providing the facilities for the needy citizens of Noksen sub-division. He also thanked the ALIMCO for helping the unfortunate people in making their life easier. He also advised the citizen to abstain from use of tobacco and liquor to have a healthy life.
Phuniang Khiamniungan, SDO (C) in his short speech also thanked the ALIMCO, CMO and DWO, Tuensang for their extra mile in helping the neediest people of the area.
In his short speech, the CMO, Tuensang highlighted the statistics of the total beneficiaries of Noksen area.
