Kohima, May 24 (MExN): Free medical health camp cum celebration of menstrual hygiene day at Azedon School in collaboration with Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) Kohima, Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) Kohima and Urban Primary Health Centre, (UPHC) Porterlane was conducted on May 24.

The medical camp was organised by the Kevi Children Home, AG Kohima in collaboration with Azedon School. A total of 170 beneficiaries including the children and staffs were benefited from the camp, stated a press note. 

During the camp, free screenings, Lab tests, Blood Pressure, were carried out by Dr Thejangunuo Rutsa (MO, UPHC Poterlane), Dr Neivizonuo Rio (MO, MMU Kohima) and Dr. Medozhatuo Keretsü (MO, RBSK Kohima) along with Nurses and Lab technicians, while free medicines and referral cards were distributed to children. 

The main objective of conducting the camp is to bring awareness and have access to basic health care service or knowledge about the diseases they are suffering from by providing free medical advice, medicines to the unfortunate children and refer them for specialized treatment, the release stated.
