Full Scale sanitation drive in progress, Minister joins in

Dimapur, April 16 (MExN): Several churches and colonies within Kohima town and villages along National Highway 29 took out a mass cleaning drive today to clean the central areas of the capital. In Kohima, Meriema village, Rűleizou colony, Mao Baptist Church, Tangkhul Baptist Church, Konyak Baptist Church, Peraciezie Baptist Church besides several colonies took to the task of removing garbage in and around their areas.

Along National Highway 29, Piphema village, Peducha village, Medziphema town A Baptist Church, Town Baptist Church of Chumukedima, UBC of Chumukedima and various Baptist churches in Dimapur under the aegis of Dimapur Baptist pastors’ fellowship cleaned their areas.

Further, the Angami Youth Organization began its first day of sanitation activities in Kohima town today where about 70 volunteers took part in sensitizing shop owners about keeping their environments clean. More are expected to take part tomorrow when they will gather at Phoolbari at 11.00 AM.
