GDSP on waste management concludes

Dimapur, April 1 (MExN): The Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) certificate course on Waste Management conducted by the ENVIS Cell of the Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) and sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change concluded with a valedictory function held at the conference hall of the NPCB on March 30.

The course which started on February 1 was attended by 11 science graduates who were trained on various aspects of waste management under this two-month long programme.

The course included theory classes on handling and management of solid waste, bio-medical waste, e-waste, plastic waste and construction and demolition waste as well as field visits to relevant places/sites where such waste is being managed, handled and disposed. The certificates were presented to the trainees by Rusovil John, Chairman of Nagaland Pollution Control Board.
