A high school student in Dimapur survived a fall from the top of a 4-storey building on April 17. The incident occurred around afternoon at the busy Nyamo Lotha Road.
According to the police, a female student of class 9 jumped from the top of a building in an attempted suicide. The impact of the fall was however cushioned by telecom cables. Citing preliminary reports, the police said the girl took the step reportedly due to academic stress.
“She was admitted to a private hospital. Her condition was said to be stable,” said a police official.
