Calls for observance of COVID-19 protocols
KOHIMA, OCTOBER 23 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi today extended Dhussehra and Durga Puja greetings to the people of Nagaland. A press release from the Governor stated that “Durga Puja celebrates the mother goddess and her victory over the demon Mahishasura.”
“This festival is a celebration of victory of truth over falsehood, triumph of the righteous and defeat of the evil,” he added.
The Governor meanwhile said it is “absolutely necessary for the safety of our people that this year we celebrate Durga Puja festival observing all the COVID-19 protocols.”
He hoped that this “auspicious festival inspire us to follow the path of virtue and guide us towards oneness, peace and happiness.”
