Kohima, January 4 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland, Dr. Ashwani Kumar, his wife, and staffs from the Raj Bhavan, Kohima visited NMA’s AIDS Hospice at Cradle Ridge, Seithogei on December 31, 2013.
The Naga Mothers Association (NMA) in a press release said that besides extending support to the NMA’s AIDS Hospice and ABC, the Governor has assured to construct a deep bore-well for safe drinking water, which is a strong felt need of the Centre. The Governor’s visit was a gratifying moment for the children as well as children from the Awakening Bell Centre (ABC), who were too excited and enthused by the visit, and to be able to hear and talked to him. “We sincerely thank him for enlightening the children and encouraging them and interacting with the members from both the centres,” said NMA President, Abei-Ümeru and Joint Secretary, Malsawmthangi Leyri.Children from both the AIDS Hopsice and Awakening Bell Centre presented beautiful songs to express their gratitude to the visiting dignitaries.
The NMA has acknowledged the Governor, his wife and the staffs of Raj Bhavan, Kohima for extending continuous support in cash and kind to the Centre. The Association prays that, “Almighty God abundantly bless and grant you long life and wisdom and the strength to carry forward your benevolent act even in the days to come.”
Gov of Nagaland visits charitable establishments

He was accompanied by his lady wife Chandak A.K, Motuo Sote Joint Secretary and officers of Raj Bhavan; during his visit to Hospice & Awakening Bell Centre (Bye Pass), Orphanage Home (Bye Pass), Leprosy Colony (Daklane), Old Age Home (I.G. Stadium road), Tabitha (Chotobosti, Chakhesang Church) and Nagaland Parents Association for the Disabled (A.G. Colony).
The visitations were arranged by Raj Bhavan at the behest of the Governor, who expressed that the functions of the Raj Bhavan can only be complete when it can extent and ensure genuine solidarity and care to the most under-privileged sections of the society.
The Governor, counseled for fortitude and faith in the universal love of God, to the inmates of the centres which he visited and as a gesture of concern extended assistance in cash and in kind.
