Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland RN Ravi has extended Tsukhenye greetings to Chakhesang brothers and sisters and to the people of Nagaland.
In his greeting, the Governor said that Tsukhenye festival marks the end of a successful harvest year and greatly welcoming the spring season. People invoke God to replenish them with good health and more strength. During this time of celebrations, they also revive and rejuvenate themselves before heading to the toiling work and sowing for the next seasonal harvest.
“Let us continue to observe COVID-19 protocols throughout the celebrations,” he said while wishing “good health, peace and happy celebrations.”
Meanwhile, Dy CM Y Patton has greeted the Chakhesang community on the occasion of Tsukhenyie. Patton said that the Chakhesang community was known for their hard work and wished them a fruitful year, abundant in crops, vegetables and livestock through this sowing season.
Patton through its Media Cell also urged the people to celebrate with precaution and strengthen the fight against COVID-19 by observing all the given SOPs and guidelines and wished “very blessed and meaningful Tsukhenyie.”
