GPRN/NSCN celebrates 14th Naga Unification Day

Dimapur, November 22 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN celebrated the 14th Naga Unification Day on November 22 2021 at Council Headquarters (CHQ), Naga Unification Camp, Khehoyi with Alezo Venuh, Special Envoy to Collective Leadership, GPRN/NSCN gracing the observance. 

A press release from MIP, GPRN/NSCN informed that Venuh read out the presidential message (See Public Space) and exhorted briefly about the prevailing Naga political scenario.

He reiterated of how the most arduous aspirational task of uniting the various Naga political groups and building cohesive relationship among the Naga people for early resolution of the Indo-Naga political negotiation was made possible under the collective leadership of N Kitovi Zhimomi, Ato Kilonser; and Gen (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak, President GPRN/NSCN, it said. 

The Special Envoy also highlighted on the contemporary reality that needed to be taken into account while resolving the Indo-Naga political issue, the release said. 

He also encouraged the gathering to stand with truth and practicality in realisation of the Naga people’s aspiration, it added. 

Earlier, the event commenced with an invocation prayer from Vikato Aye, Pastor, CHQ followed by hoisting of the Naga National flag by the Chief Guest and drill display from the Naga Army, GHQ.

An obituary moment in honour of the martyrs and heroes who fought and sacrificed for the Naga nationhood was also observe, the release said. 

Later, a special number was presented from Pt Themsi Kuki, Naga Army, GHQ and it concluded with a thanksgiving benediction from Lieut Hukavi Assumi, Chaplain, Naga Army, GHQ.
