Dimapur, October 22 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has expressed grief over the over the untimely demise of Lieut. Col KhekutoSwu of Lukikhe/Shevishe village, Sumi Region who passed away after prolonged illness on October 21. Late Swu enrolled for the national service on March 15, 1992 and served the nation for 28 years wholeheartedly and full commitment for the cause of the Naga National movement till his last breath, stated a condolence note issued by MIP, GPRN/NSCN.
In his demise the nation have loss one of the most dedicated and promising officer but his legacies would be treasured in the pages of Naga history, it said.
On behalf of all the Rank and Files of Naga Army, Commander-in-Chief, Naga Army, GPRN/NSCN, Lieut.Gen. Samson Aye said that Late was also known for his compassionate character, ever ready to serve not only for the government but also towards the poor and downtrodden.
The GPRN/NSCN further conveyed its sympathies to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
