GSDP certificate course on wild beekeeping, processing concludes

Tuensang, December 15 (MExN): The one-month Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) certificate course on wild beekeeping and processing concluded at Trongar village, Tuensang district on December 15.

The training organised by ENVIS Hub, Nagaland and hosted by Nagaland Pollution Control Board had commenced on November 16 last. 

During the training, altogether 30 trainees were given both technical and practical sessions along with hands on training on wild beekeeping and processing, and also exposure field trips were organized for better understanding and to learn more about the scientific beekeeping.

The valedictory function was attended by all 30 trainees, ENVIS officials, village council members. Addressing the function, Kekhrieletuo Chase, Asst. Bank Manager, State Bank of India, Chare, as chief guest shared his experience in beekeeping and encouraged the trainees to utilize, implement the training and to sustain their livelihood through wild beekeeping. He presented the certificates to the trainees.

The programme was hosted by Khriehunuo Rutsa, Information Officer, ENVIS Hub, Nagaland, invocation was pronounced by A Thejung Pastor, Trongar Baptist Church, short speech was delivered by Lidongse, Village Council Chairman, Trongar village. Speech on behalf of the trainees was delivered by. Lisechum and Muthe wherein they both shared their knowledge and experience gained during the training. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Limitsa S Sangtam, Programme Officer, ENVIS Hub, Nagaland.
