Dimapur, February 23 (MExN): As part of the SBI Gram Seva Programme implemented in five adopted villages by ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), Don Bosco, under the Chumoukedima subdivision, Gram Seva Kendras were inaugurated on February 22.
According to a press release from the PRO, AIDA-Don Bosco, the GSKs were inaugurated in Diezephe, Bade and Urra. Facilities available at the GSKs include Wi-Fi, computer, scanner cum printer, LEDTV, inverter and battery, furniture, almirah, spiral binding, newspapers/ magazines and stationery, etc.
The GSK which is a community information centre will help the community to avail all the facilities such as printing, photo copying and all other online services, the release stated.
Branch Manager of SBI Diphupar Branch, Dimapur Jacky Chetri and Chief Manager Credit at SBI Regional Business Office, Dimapur Branch Peter Khrasi, who were the special guests for the occasion emphasised on PM Social Security Schemes such as PM Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and others such as Atal Pension Yojana, PM Mudra Yojana Loan and Kisan Credit Card. They also spoke about the benefits of digital banking and encouraged community members to look towards entrepreneurship.
Among others, Rev Fr Varghese Mechery SDB, Administrator, Bosco BED College; Programme manager Pfokho John; Convergence Officer, SBI Gram Seva – AIDA Imnayangla Jamir and Rev Fr Roy George SDB, Executive Director- AIDA also spoke during the programme.
Rev Fr Roy George thanked the SBI Foundation for choosing the five villages and encouraged the village authorities and leaders to fully cooperate with the AIDA team and turn the villages into model villages through proper implementation of the programmes.
