
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): Can Youth in collaboration with Rongmei Youth Club, Dimapur organized the launching programme of handicraft training sponsored by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) at Rongmei Customary Court, Burma Camp on November 10.
During the programme, Can Youth, Project Coordinator, Imlisunep Aier said that this workshop aims to promote ‘craft tourism’ among the school and college dropouts in the region and urged the people of Nagaland to come forward and adopt the untapped treasures of crafting.
The two-week training will be conducted under the guidance of Ruovilhoukho Chuzho, Proprietor of ‘The Naga Feather’ and Assistant Trainer, Rokolhoukho Thorie, stated a press release received here.
Special guest, Zasivikho Zakiesato, General Secretary, Dimapur Urban Council Federation in his speech encouraged the participants to actively take part in the training and develop themselves. Ram Kumar Sharma, Branch Manager SIDBI, Dimapur shared about several schemes & loan policies which can be availed based on his/her skill to startup small business or to purchase machineries for further improvement in crafting. Rongmei Youth Club, President, Makuran Rongmei interacted with the youth through his dialogue based on the topic, ‘Difficulties before Success.’
