Kohima, November 18 (MExN): As per the State Government's guidelines inclined with the MoHFW directives to increase the COVID-19 vaccination coverage both first dose and second dose in the district, the Chief Medical Officer Kohima, Dr Vezokholu Theyo and her medical team launched the 'Har Ghar Dastak' (knocking on every door) campaign in the district on November 8.
The vaccination campaign has so far covered various parts of urban and rural areas in the district, which will continue till November 30, stated a DIPR report.
During the campaign period, the medical team will continue to reach out house to house for awareness generation activities and for enhanced accessibility for vaccination to all the citizens in the district. It will also facilitates beneficiaries who might be bed ridden or have extremely restricted mobility or disability or special needs to avail the Covid vaccination at their place of residence.
The 'Har Ghar Dastak' campaign was launched to accelerate the coverage of COVID vaccination and to identify the beneficiaries who have not yet taken the 1st dose and beneficiaries overdue for 2nd dose in the district.
