Kohima, March 28 (MExN): A ‘Reproductive Child Health Camp and Health Camp’ was conducted at Kigwema village on March 27 at Village Council Hall, Kigwema with former Director, Health and Family Welfare Department, Dr Neiketou as the special guest.

Dr Neiketou said that health camp is required as nowadays medical treatment has become very expensive and every one cannot avail treatment. He said that organizing such camp in the village is a great opportunity to avail treatment without any expense.

In the day-long camp, villagers with different types of disease availed free checkup and medicines. An acknowledgment programme was also held for complete immunization And Ante-Natal Check-up (ANC). Prizes were also awarded for those who completed immunization and best performance to Asha, as per a DIPR report.

The programme organised by District Health Society Kohima was chaired by Dr Loziu Peseyie, Medical Officer, PHC Kimipfuphe and short speeches were delivered by ADC Kohima, Shaying Sheu, Dr Rupert Peseyie, CMO Kohima and Village Council Chairman. The camp was attended by 12 doctors, nurses and government officials.
