Jalukie, October 14 (MExN): In the final match at the Ball Park in Jalukie Town, Heneing FC (A) defended their title, emerging victorious over Nchatsu FC to claim the trophy in the Second Edition of the Jalukie Phumling Inter-Khel Tournament 2024.

The match remained scoreless until the second half, when Heneing FC’s captain, Keyirangzai Hingleu, scored the first goal with a corner kick. Nchatsu FC quickly responded, leveling the score with a goal from Ileugum Nhau after a fierce scramble near the goalpost. The game remained a close contest until Heneing FC’s striker, Inzumlung Hingleu, managed to secure the winning goal following a deflection off Nchatsu FC’s defense.

Nchatsu FC displayed a commendable defensive effort, containing Heneing FC for much of the game. However, Heneing FC’s persistence and tactical precision ultimately secured their victory and the championship trophy for the second consecutive year.

Jalukie Phumling Nko Chairman Heizeiying Mpom, who graced the closing ceremony as the Guest of Honour, commended the players and organizers for fostering community spirit through sports. He applauded The Catalyst Jalukie for organizing such a event and highlighted the importance of sports in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
