Cultural Programme
Hornbill Festival 2021 cultural programme on Thursday was graced by Laisam Simai, MLA & Advisor of Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh as guest of honour and Anshul Gupta, General Manager, North Frontier Railway (NFR) as special guest.

A DIPR report stated that the morning session was hosted by Tongpang Ozukum, Minister of Housing and Mechanical and Mmhonlumo Kikon, Advisor of Information and Technology, Science and Technology, New and Renewable Energy.

 The highlights were cultural folk dances, songs and indigenous games presentation by cultural troupes òf Angami, Ao, Chakhesang, Chang, Garo, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Lotha and Phom.

In the evening session, SH Shyam Kumar, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCA), NER, Ministry of Finance Department of Revenue was the guest of honour. The hosts were Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Tribal Affairs and Higher Education and Pukhayi, Advisor for Food and Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection and Taxes. Cultural dances and songs were performed by Pochury, Kachari, Rengma, Sangtam, Sumi, Yimkhiung, Kuki and Zeliang cultural troupe.

HIPFEST 2021 photography
Photo-37c from the exhibition gallery shot by Longso Yimkhiung won the HIPFEST 2021 photography competition contest and Inakavi Kasho and Parvej Akhtar were placed the 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The contest was judged by Photographer Kekhriezhazo Machieo, Freelance Merimvu Douloand Media Officer to the Chief Minister, Ayieno Kechü and the results were decalred on December 2. The winner wins cash prize of Rs 25,000 while the second and the third will receive Rs 20,000 and 15,000 respectively. Nine consolation prize winners were also declared with cash prize of Rs 5000 each and in addition a ‘viewer choice’ will be selected from the spectator which will be declared on the 7th day of the festival.

Legal Services cum Exhibition Stall 
Justice Hukato Swu, Judge, Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench inaugurated the Legal Services cum Exhibition Stall of the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority at Kisama today in the presence of NSLSA Member Secretary Victo Sema, NJS; Kakheto Sema, Additional Judge, Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench; and Neiko Akami, NJS, Registrar, Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench among others.  The legal services stall will cater to distribution of legal literature and booklets of both English, Nagamese and local language, provide free legal counseling, legal advice, drafting affidavits and petitions, legal aid and representation, mediation etc.
