Longleng, January 28 (MExN): Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) project at Etayongsho and Chichemleiven was inaugurated by Minister for Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom on January 28.
The Horti Link Road and NMISF Agri project which commenced on May 26, 2020, was completed on December 10, 2020. The project is implemented by the department of Horticulture, as per a DIPR report.
In his inaugural speech, the Minister lauded the department for successful completion of the project and added that roads are gateway of development for overall progress of the society.
He termed it a ‘fortunate day’ for the farmers to avail the opportunity provided and encouraged the general public to give more effort and keen interest in making use of the road for the greater benefit of all concerned.
Deputy Commissioner M Shayung Phom also spoke and exhorted the gathering while DAO Longleng S Yongchang Phom highlighted on the project.
Invocation and welcome address was proposed by Adoa Pastor Yachem Baptist Attoi and Manlu Phom Head GB Noksosang village respectively. Vote of thanks and benediction was pronounced by Longnyu Phom 2nd Barrick Yachem and Rev TI Lakba Pastor Noksosang Baptist Attoi.
