The IQAC and Career Guidance Cell of Mount Tiyi College, Wokha organised an Indian Air Force (IAF) Agniveervayu recruitment awareness outreach programme in collaboration with Airmen Selection Centre Guwahati at Mount Tiyi College, Wokha on July 23.
Resource persons from Airmen Selection Centre, Guwahati Amarnath Gupta, Junior Warrant Officer and Sunil Kumar, Senior Non Commission Officer sensitized the students about various career opportunities in the Indian Air Force. They highlighted the different types of entries for different branches of the IAF, the selection process, and monetary and other benefits like accommodation, medical facilities, and insurance schemes.
A detailed presentation was made on the Agnipath scheme/Agniveervayu, focusing on the terms and conditions of the scheme, minimum educational requirements, mandatory medical standards, rank structure, and perks.
The technical session was followed by an interactive session.
